What does Unafraid Catholic mean to me?

Over the last year or so God was putting it on my heart that I needed to share my faith and my journey of getting to the point I am right now in life. It all started with brain storming the name. There were many options but as time went on Unafraid Catholic was the one that stood out to me. The main reason for this was that for many years of my life I was afraid of people finding out that I was a Catholic. I was ashamed of what I believed in because I wanted to fit in and it became easier to not mention my faith and how important it was to me. This title is for me a reminder that there is nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of my faith and that sharing my faith allows me to grow in my relationship with God.

This does not have to be something for me but something for you. Do not be afraid of your faith and share it wherever you can. I have come to learn that when I keep God at the center of my life my stress and anxiety are down. I find it easier to sit and focus on schoolwork, get good sleep at night, and much happier. It is time to not be afraid and grow in your relationship with God.
